This piece is focused on the linking of some current architectural features within a single piece

There are multiple textures and surfaces and 13 different glazes.

The overall form then becomes human like with some ‘warrior’ overtones. It is intended to be playful and experiential

the work has been built up using several building techniques - slab building a base structure of extruded ‘beams’ then added to with a mixture of paper clay, found metal objects and multiple layers of oxides and slips.

The addition of granular feldspar reacts in the gas kiln environment to give a rich and varied texture.
